Bare to Almost There to There

I’m ridiculously excited about redecorating our new condo, and I’m doing it over the internet and phone. Where there’s a will, there’s a way people! I strongly believe that the kitchen is the heart of every home, and the kitchen in our condo looks like it went under cardiac arrest and then some. I don’t care much for the way it looks with its white cabinets and wood paneling.

I'm unimpressed.

This is where my fiancee’s magnificent work comes in (Ed. note: shameless plug ahead); he works wonders with granite countertops, and I have my heart set on this beautiful emerald pearl color. At first I wanted to go for a black shade, but I fell in love with the Emerald Pearl's vivid green hue and pearl tones. I’m thinking of pairing it with honey maple cabinets and painting the walls a richer shade of ivory.

I’m going to keep posting entries of this redecorating process with pictures of our currently naked, sad house through its makeover, step by step, until it becomes the home that we will spend our first married years together in.
